Where are you from originally?
I'm originally from Bucharest Romania but I inherited the Polish and Russians origins of my parents.
How did you get started?
I started modeling when I was 20 years old. I did this because of my friends, parents and people around me. I sent some polaroids to MRA agency in Bucharest and so it all begun.
Was heading to Paris difficult that first time?
Not really, I liked it and somehow I expected it to be more difficult. My agency arranged several photo tests for me and I started going to castings as a new face in the market. Not too many jobs-- but being fascinated by the city made everything easier.
How have you changed from the start of your career?
At first I was more attracted by the desire to appear in magazines and being able to travel as much as possible-- just to see how it is. Now it's about financial development and trying to get nice jobs. This career turned me into a person with an open mind and an independent woman. Over time I started to be more careful in the way I look and how I present myself to those around me.
What's something about yourself that might surprise people?
I love to cook and eat. It is a continuous struggle between the joy to taste all sorts of goodies and keeping myself in shape. I look good considering how much I eat sometimes, lucky me!
What do you do when not working?
If I'm not in my hometown I am like a tourist-- curious to discover the city that I am in. When in Bucharest I enjoy leisure activities such as meeting with friends and time spent with my family. Also I am passionate about shopping.
Other aspirations outside modeling?
I like interior design and home decoration. I want to make steps in this direction in the future.
When you're in Paris-- any favorite places or things to do?
I have many favourite places that I love in Paris, one of them is Parc du Champs-de-Mars. I used to go jogging there in the evening around the Eiffel Tower-- and on the weekends go there and have a picnic with other models. I like to discover the hidden places known only to locals-- the streets, squares, and authentic restaurants. Another place I love is Shakespeare and Company bookstore.
